Four friends(Thomas Jane, Jason Lee, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis) on a hunting trip in main during the winter, discover that the town they’re vacationing in is being plagued by parasitic aliens from outer space and a army led by Morgan Freeman and Tom Sizemore, going after said alien to kill and destroy..
Duddits the child that the 4 rescued, when in grade school now older ( played By Donnie Wahlberg) is their only hope to stop Mr. Grey the one alien that got away..
There is so much involved in this movie from they Mr. Grey and Duddits relationship and the four friends. that it will keep you on your toes. Thats why you need to see it more than once.
The creature fx effects were very well done, and the worms or slugs were grand, the bloody bathroom or eggs were something else..
I know that a lot of reviewers almost tell the whole story but i just don’t want to do that. You need to experience it on your own terms and we all see things different, what i see in this great film may not be to your liking..For there are a few times most normal people would cringe at the thought, if your not a true Syfy horror fan like me.
I loved this movie and have seen it about 10 times and every time i see something i didn’t before. and it had gotten a really bad review..but like i said unless your a Syfy horror fan it can take you a back. Its based on a Stephen King novel, and i think one of his best..
So my Darklady score here is i give this great piece of Syfy horror 9 and a half out of 10 skulls..
